Here's an overview of what's not working:

  1. Corrupted database caused the following:
    1. I was not able to bring any users from the previous installation
    2. No users means you CAN NOT log in here.
    3. Had to manually copy articles and images
    4. I have the text for the FAQ, but haven't been able to fix a few issues with the module that is hosting this text.
    5. The forums are toast and will not be able to resurrect them.
  2. Connections to the email server are not working for now. This means the following:
    1. Registration requires email verification

LatinX Nonsense

LatinX Nonsense

Author: Hector Sosa, Jr/Monday, December 21, 2020/Categories: Personal

DISCLAIMER: I am not a spokesperson for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. This site is for my experiences and MY opinions. There are plenty of resources at https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/ if you want to know more about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The LatinX label came out of the queer Hispanic community sometime in 2004. I didn't know this even existed until 2020. I consider myself Hispanic. I grew up speaking Spanish, and I served a mission to the Spain Barcelona mission. Many of my ancestors are from Spain.

Let me quote a report from the Washington Post:

The word "Latinx," which is nearly a "term used exclusively within the United States," has been rejected by the vast majority of actual Latinos. A 2019 poll found that a whopping 98% of Latinos do not identify with the Latinx term. Of those surveyed, 44% preferred to be called "Hispanic," followed by 24% who would like to be classified as "Latino/Latina."
A 2020 Pew Research survey found that only 23% of Hispanics had even heard of the term "Latinx," and a minuscule 3% said they used the word to describe themselves.

The Romance languages all have gender baked into the body of the language. The attempts to strip gender out Spanish has fallen on deaf ears.

The "Woke" nonsense knows no bounds.
